July 13, 2015 "One Day at a Wedding Ceremony"

Hi there, it was stormy yesterday here in Kitakyushu and today it’s cloudy but I can here cicadas shrilling! In Japan, it is said that when cicadas starts to shrill the summer starts. In the very front of summer’s door, I’ll show you an image of today. It’s from a wedding photoshoot.

Nori does really good jobs at location photoshoots but currently he is kind of into studio photoshoots. Yea, his studio works are great and I like it, but I love his works more and more in the open air photo sessions! I guess this picture is at the garden of wedding venue, and I love this shining bride in the middle of shining natural light!

Now summer has started and it’s the best season for the location photoshoot in the sunshine! We’re waiting for your message for the summer photoshoot to keep your memories into a time capsule: a picture.

June 25, 2015 "Our Son HAYATO"

Today's picture is our son, Hayato. It was on the day I and my new-born daughter came back home from the hospital. On that day Hayato got up very early and spent a half day at the studio watching Nori doing photo-shoots, then came to pick me up in the afternoon.

Hayato experienced the night without mom for the first time, for as long as five days. He's grown up so quickly in five days. And I suddenly realized that the infant-like smile he used to show me never come back. When your kids grow up you feel happy, and at the same time you feel sad. I experienced that complex feeling for the first time that day.

One picture tells and reminds you a long and complex story.

June 11, 2015 A Shoe Repair Shop "FooT STeP"

Good evening from rainy Kitakyushu. Can't believe but we're already in the rainy season this year.

Today's image is at FooT STeP, a shoe repair shop in Takasu, Wakamatsu-ku. It was when I dropped in on this shop about three years ago to get my shoes repaired, that was the first time visiting this shop. I and Nori love the good taste of this shop, which also sells leather goods and other various goods besides repairing shoes and bags, and we also like the owner, Mr. Imaizumi's friendly character.

Nori's vintage watch and my shoes are from this shop and we really love these. Why don't you drop in on FooT Step wink絵文字

June 1, 2015

The fresh wind of brand-new month has come in! Today's picture is from Nori's recent family photo shoot. When this image was uploaded on Nori's FB wall I knew why he wanted to share this. That's because this is it!!

No need to explain.
An excellent shot!!

One year and a month has passed since Nori started to work for Photo Studio FU. Compared with when he was in a small family business, he's been doing so many and various types of photo shootings. A portrait shoot of one local celebrity, some special audio equipment for an audio accessary magazine, and of course he’s doing wedding shoots almost every weekend.

While I am mothering all day all night and right now at home, Nori surely keeps making further progress and deepening his strength as a photographer.
I have actually one more thing to tell, but I’ll keep it for next update.
Have a nice day

May 21, 2015

Good morning! It seems like this blog got a steady weekly post in this month finally. That's because I've been in good shape recently after doing not very well for about 17 weeks after childbirth. I'm so happy that I finally recovered.

So, this is today's image. Several days ago Nori showed me an image that is similar to this picture but I couldn't say anything but "oh, it's beautiful". That phrase had no special emotion. Today's image is the image of today because special emotion arose in my heart and soul. What is the difference between two images? I can't explain this, but, I heard a voice. This picture spoke to me.

May 12, 2015 "Fresh Green Rice Field"

I guess it’s been quite long time after we posted an image of landscape last time. Today’s image is a scenery we came across in Munakata city about a year ago. In northern Kyushu the rice planting season has started. It’s the very season we can enjoy seeing fresh green rice fields.

10 months has passed since our family moved in to this area, Kurosaki, from Wakamatsu. Kurosaki is the place where I spend my childhood and I like living in here but sometimes I miss the life in Wakamatsu, especially the rural scenery and fresh local-grown vegetables.*Kurosaki is a kind of urban area, and Wakamatsu is rural area with mountains and ocean.
