April 25, 2016 "Shinto Ceremony for an old well in which the god of water had long been living"

Today the priest of our family's shrine came to my new house and gave a prayer for an old well, which had long been left unused and once used by the former owner of this house. We Japanese believe that a god of water is living in every well and we have no plan of using this well, so we asked the god of water to go back to his home shrine with the help of the priest's prayer.

April 23, 2016 "Siblings"

Good morning from Kitakyushu, Japan! In Japan most of the schools, kindergarten, and businesses start their year in April, so we are now in the most fresh and exciting season of the year.

Today's image is a siblings portrait, Kurumi and Yushin. On the day this picture was shot they attended the entrance ceremony at their elementary school because Yushin just started his school life in this month. (In Japan we have entrance ceremony when entering school) This family is really close that they make us happy whenever we meet on the photoshoots.

Our family is also starting the new life in a new house next month. And our photo studio and cafe will open in this summer! Norihito is now preparing our new website. Hopefully we can show you some pics of our studio under construction in the next post, I suppose.

March 28, 2016 "Hinari's 1-year-old anniversary"

Good morning from Kitakyushu. The flavour of Spring is everywhere these days, and the door of April is just around the corner. Cherry blossoms will hopefully be in full bloom in a week or so!

Today's picture is from a family photoshoot in the end of January. I feel like they are so close as my relatives because we have experienced photoshoots on their wedding day and their baby, Hinari's 100 days anniversary. We are very happy to be able to witness and capture this family's precious moments.

Hinari is 15 month old at the time in this picture. Kids around this age never stay still!!

They like toddling around and exploring the new world. We take time on the photoshoot especially the one with babies and toddlers. Don't worry about it and feel free to inquire about the family photoshoot! Thank you.

From his recent work. A cut from a wedding photoshoot at the shrine last weekend. Norihito seems to be cutting his way to the new stage of his photography. He’s always like this, seeking a better way to capture the moment and scene. He never be satisfied with his works, believing he could do it better. That’s why I support him with all my might and I believe he’ll be one of the top photographer.

Our family team are now on a big turning point. Every single day is a thrilling and exciting day that something important happens and we have to make a decision. Hopefully we’re reaching our goal (and the starting point at the same time) in the near future. Spring has come!
